Our Mission

The Arizona Patient Safety and Education Initiative serves as a resource to patients, stakeholders, policy leaders and lawmakers for learning about the extensive education and training physicians receive to safeguard patients.

What We Do

We provide educational resources to patients and lawmakers regarding the importance of safeguarding patient safety. Healthcare policy has been at the forefront of legislative priorities at both the federal and state levels, and our purpose is to ensure that any legislative changes ensure that patient safety is never sacrificed in the process.

To accomplish this goal, it’s vitally important that policy makers at all levels understand the education and training that healthcare providers receive in order to ensure that only properly trained and qualified providers are delivering care to patients.

Who We Are

The Arizona Patient Safety and Education Initiative was organized by the Arizona Medical Association and is comprised of many healthcare providers, patient advocates and industry leaders. The physicians who comprise the Arizona Medical Association cover the spectrum of medical specialties throughout Arizona.
